Well, there's something in it, for Money to come out and talk about it last night.  I think there's a few twists and turns to come yet - we don't usually go public on that kind of thing till it's all settled, so there's a bit of politics going on. We paid £80k for him, though, so we'll be looking for some sort of return on that.

Can't see Oxford paying that sort of money even if they had it to spend, which I doubt tbh

There is a hefty sell on fee with Craddock too, I don't think anything less than £250k is going to get him away from KR, we wouldn't gain anything and therefore would be better off keeping him this season and letting him go free at the end of it.

Hang on gazza - your talking about a 4th choice striker of a non-league team.  I think you have 1 too many zero in your figure. And getting him off your payroll could be considered a gain if you are not utilising him.

Unless of course it is Crawley doing the bidding.

He isn't 4th choice striker we are just rotating the squad because of the amount of games we play in a short space of time to start the season. Came on today for half an hour and scored and it was smiles all round, don't think he'll be going anywhere.

How's Adam Murray doing for you Gaz???

I have to say I was gutted when he went as I felt he made us tick - fantastic player and I think he could help you win the title - I think he is league one standard tbh......

I have only seen him once so far mate and I kno he is not quite 100% fit yet, but against Altrincham he was fantastic, all action performance and some lovely trickery too, he really gave Keano a freedom that he didn't have for much of last year.

Looks like a fantastic signing for us but he'll struggle to hold down a place in the starting 11 up against Keano and Besta to be honest, I have a feeling that they are Money's preferred 2 in the middle.

We must be doing something right as we have just turned down an approach from a "League 1 " club for young Mark Ellis.Last week it was rumoured that another higher league club were interested in last seasons leading scorer Elliott Benyon which came to nothing although a figure of 100K has been banded about. Question is what does a lower league club do - develop young talent and sell on - in effect becoming a feeder club or do they hold onto all the talent in the hope of achieving promotion but risk losing the chance of profitable business ? Discuss.

Difficult one that, as we all want our clubs to keep the best players so that we can aim to be promoted. Then of course the clubs would need to get better players, but where does the money come from?.
Think the clubs have to find the balance somewhere in between, but thats easier said than done.
